Idaho Harvest Heroes Podcast

University of Idaho Extension and the Farmer Veteran Coalition of Idaho Chapter are committed to improving the economic opportunities and quality of life for military veterans choosing agriculture as their next mission.The Idaho Harvest Heroes Podcast will deliver production, marketing, financial, legal and human risk management education to new and beginning veteran farmers and ranchers through stories directly from experienced veteran producers.Over the next ten episodes, we will highlight veterans who have reduced their risks through diversification, innovation, creativity, and who have successfully navigated relevant state, regional and federal USDA programs supporting veteran and new and beginning producers.This podcast is funded by a grant from the Western Extension Risk Management Education Center, and is one part of our planned efforts to utilize peer to peer learning and a regional approach to connect Idaho’s farmer veterans with risk management education and each other.Tell us what you think at https://bit.ly/hhpodcastfeedback.
