When we think about what it would take to lose weight, we often envision long hours at the gym, elliptical machines, and eating only salads. In fact, the whole fitness industry is based on promoting an easy fix, implying that weight loss is somehow too difficult for the average person to do alone. There are times when a personal trainer may be needed. For example, if you are training for a bodybuilding contest, you may indeed want to hire a trainer that specializes in such things. If you have any special needs, for example, if you are diabetic, you may want to hire an educated  nutritionist.  There are times when professionals are needed, and I’m not going to downplay the services they offer.However, for most people, weight loss is simply a matter of moving more and eating less. That’s it, that’s the secret sauce to weight loss and the beginning of a fit lifestyle.
