We’ve all tried to stick with an exercise routine, signed up for the gym membership, and after a few days without even thinking about it, quit. We’ve all gone out and bought tons of “healthy” food, just to have it sit in the refrigerator and rot while we go out for yet another value meal. We have good intentions, but we just don’t stick to the plan. It’s frustrating. And we often feel like failures when this happens, no matter how many times it happens. You think, “I’m never going to lose this weight. I’m stuck with it.” You probably even make up tangible excuses about being “big-boned” or “too old”. You know in the back of your mind that neither is true, but they work for your ego temporarily.The problem is while we like to make the goals, we have a harder time changing our story to match those goals. Think about all the New Year’s Resolutions that are forgotten in the first week of January. “New Year, New Me” posts decorate social media on New Year’s Eve and even January first. But, you rarely see any “second week, same ol’ me” posts following the rush.
