On May 10, 1973, a masked man entered a Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce branch in Kenora, Ontario, armed with firearms and a homemade bomb strapped to his body. What began as a bank robbery quickly turned into a public spectacle, broadcast live on radio as police, civilians, and hundreds of onlookers watched the standoff unfold on Main Street.
