About this episode
For centuries, sailors crossing The Minch have spoken of an unnatural calm that comes before sudden, violent storms. According to Hebridean folklore, these tempests are raised by the Blue Men, blue-skinned sea beings who rise from the depths to challenge ship captains in rhyming verse. Those who fail the challenge are said to be dragged beneath the waves, their ships lost to the strait forever. The BOOKBY US A COFFEEJoin Sarah's new FACEBOOK GROUPSubscribe to our PATREONEMAIL us your storiesJoin us on INSTAGRAMJoin us on TWITTERJoin us on FACEBOOKVisit our WEBSITEResearch Links:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_men_of_the_Minchhttps://scotlands-stories.com/blue-men-of-the-minch/Thanks so much for listening, and we'll catch up with you again on tomorrow!Sarah and Tobie xx"Spacial Winds," Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com)Licenced under Creative Commons: By Attribution 4.0 Licencehttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/SURVEY Hosted on Acast.
