From: "Brownies in a Jar" by Jackie Gannaway   Links* Jar: https://amzn.to/46J8L6X   Double Chocolate Brownie Mix in a Jar What you’ll need: -2 cups sugar -3/4 cup chocolate chips -3/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts -1 cup flour -4 - 1" squares of unsweetened baking chocolate   What you’ll do: 1. Layer ingredients in order given in a 1 quart "wide mouth" canning jar. Press firmly in place. 2. Place flour into a thin sandwich baggie to keep it from sifting through the nuts. 3. Cut chocolate squares in half to make 8 pieces 1" × 1/2" Place chocolate pieces on top of flour. 4. Use lid of jar to press chocolate squares firmly into place.   Instructions for your gift recipient: Double Chocolate Brownies 1. Remove chocolate squares from jar. Set aside. 2. Empty mix into large mixing bowl. Empty flour from baggie and discard baggie. Blend. 3. Add: 2 sticks butter or margarine, not diet, melted 4 eggs 2 tsp. vanilla (opt.) 4. Melt chocolate squares in microwave for 30 seconds. Stir well and continue to microwave 10 seconds at a time, stirring until completely melted. (Can melt in a pan over very low heat.) 5. Mix melted chocolate into batter. 6. Pour batter into sprayed 9" × 13" pan. 7. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes. 8. Cool. Cut into squares.
