Ripley Testimony IIA note about pronunciation... the author of the book, Mr. Norman Fulkerson, has decided that we will pronounce the Vietnamese battlefield location names as Col. Ripley himself did, as well as the majority of Vietnam veterans. Hence the prominent "D" in Dong Ha, for example. We feel that these episodes are for an English speaking audience and we are not above how the veterans themselves pronounced these names.
