About this episode
What does it mean to be at home in the presence of God? Today in Numbers, we see the completion of the tribal offerings, the lighting of the golden lampstand, and the purification of the Levites for their sacred work. In the Gospel of Luke, we find a twelve-year-old Jesus in the Temple, astounding the religious teachers with His wisdom and declaring His unique identity: "I must be in my Father’s house."Today’s Scripture:📖 Numbers 7:66–9:14 – The final offerings for the altar lead into the instructions for the Seven Lamps and the ordination of the Levites. We also see the provision for the "Second Passover," ensuring everyone has a way to remain in covenant with God.📖 Luke 2:41–52 – The only account of Jesus' childhood. After being lost for three days, His parents find Him in the Temple, revealing a young boy already fully consumed by His divine mission.📖 Psalm 35:11–18 – A cry for justice against malicious witnesses, concluding with a promise to give thanks in the "great congregation."RESOURCES & READ-ALONG 📺 Watch on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLYKi8-_5xHGL_nFAZOthHtZhcb4CqW4ZF 📖 Follow the Text (LEB): https://biblia.com/books/leb/ 🗓️ Download the Full Plan: https://www.biblica.com/resources/reading-plans/CONNECT & SUPPORT 📧 Questions?
