Will we trust what God said, or what our eyes see? Today in Numbers, the twelve spies return with a report that splits a nation. Despite the courage of Joshua and Caleb, the people succumb to fear, leading to a forty-year sentence in the wilderness. In the Gospel of Luke, Jesus returns to Nazareth and announces that He is the fulfillment of Isaiah’s prophecy, only to be met with a rejection that mirrors the rebellion of Israel in the desert.Today’s Scripture:📖 Numbers 13:26–14:45 – The spies report on the "land flowing with milk and honey," but ten of them focus on the giants. The resulting rebellion leads to God's judgment: an entire generation will fall in the wilderness, while only Joshua and Caleb are promised entry into the land.📖 Luke 4:14–37 – Jesus begins His ministry in Galilee. In the synagogue at Nazareth, He reads from the scroll of Isaiah, declaring "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me."
