What does it look like to offer our best to God? Today in Numbers, we witness a massive display of generosity as the leaders of Israel bring their offerings for the dedication of the Altar. In the Gospel of Luke, we see a different kind of dedication: the infant Jesus is brought to the Temple, where the faithful Simeon and Anna recognize Him as the light of the nations and the redemption of Jerusalem.Today’s Scripture:📖 Numbers 7:1–65 – A detailed account of the offerings brought by the tribal leaders of Israel. This passage emphasizes that every tribe has a stake in the worship and service of the Tabernacle.📖 Luke 2:21–40 – Jesus is circumcised and presented in the Temple. Simeon’s "Nunc Dimittis" and Anna’s testimony confirm that the long-awaited Messiah has finally arrived.📖 Psalm 35:1–10 – A plea for God’s intervention: "Contend, O Lord, with those who contend with me."
