About this episode
What does it look like to offer our best to God? Today in Numbers, we witness a massive display of generosity as the leaders of Israel bring their offerings for the dedication of the Altar. In the Gospel of Luke, we see a different kind of dedication: the infant Jesus is brought to the Temple, where the faithful Simeon and Anna recognize Him as the light of the nations and the redemption of Jerusalem.Todayโs Scripture:๐ Numbers 7:1โ65 โ A detailed account of the offerings brought by the tribal leaders of Israel. This passage emphasizes that every tribe has a stake in the worship and service of the Tabernacle.๐ Luke 2:21โ40 โ Jesus is circumcised and presented in the Temple. Simeonโs "Nunc Dimittis" and Annaโs testimony confirm that the long-awaited Messiah has finally arrived.๐ Psalm 35:1โ10 โ A plea for Godโs intervention: "Contend, O Lord, with those who contend with me." It ends with a vow to rejoice in the Lordโs salvation.RESOURCES & READ-ALONG ๐บ Watch on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLYKi8-_5xHGL_nFAZOthHtZhcb4CqW4ZF ๐ Follow the Text (LEB): https://biblia.com/books/leb/ ๐๏ธ Download the Full Plan: https://www.biblica.com/resources/reading-plans/CONNECT & SUPPORT ๐ง Questions?
