About this episode
How do we move from "unclean" to "restored"? Today in Leviticus, we look at the elaborate and symbolic rituals used to bring a healed person back into the community. In the Gospel of Mark, the tone shifts as Jesus sits on the Mount of Olives and warns His disciples about the coming destruction of the Temple and the signs of His return.Today’s Scripture:? Leviticus 14 – The laws for the purification of the leper and the cleansing of infected houses. These rituals, involving birds, cedarwood, and scarlet yarn, point toward the ultimate restoration found in Christ.? Mark 13:1–31 – Jesus speaks of wars, rumors of wars, and the "abomination of desolation," urging His followers to stay alert and recognize that His words will never pass away.? Psalm 30:8–12 – A beautiful transition from mourning to dancing: "You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; you have loosed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness."RESOURCES & READ-ALONG ?
