About this episode
Most of you will remember the story of Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Hannah Dugan, who was caught on video trying to help an illegal escape from federal custody when agents showed up at the courthouse to nab Eduardo Flores-Ruiz. Well, she has been found guilty of the felony charge of obstructing, but not guilty of the misdemeanor charge of concealing, by a jury, following a four-day trial. If you will recall, Dugan was arrested by the FBI back in April, accused of helping illegal alien migrant named Eduardo Flores-Ruiz evade arrest by ICE. There is an ongoing debate between the ideas of American Credoism and American Heritage Doctrine. As divided as we are right now, it is not surprising, but sadly, the debate itself misses the point of what it means to be an American. Charlie Kirk's assassination has appalled many, shocked very few, and was even welcomed and openly cheered by many leftists who are either anti-Christian or just anti-American. A few things are certain: the political left (even those outside of the United States) have worked hard besmirch Charlie's reputation and celebrate his death, going so far as to make a mocking "shot-to-the-neck" gesture on viral videos and on American streets. The left has taken Charlie's words out of context over and over again to claim that he was racist, misogynistic, or even a "Christian Nationalist" Cult leader. (All of which is untrue, but to the atheistic left, I am sure proclaiming the Gospels appears that way.) It is also clear that Charlie has had a lasting impression on both the American Conservative movement and a reemergence of Christianity. He did this by going out and interacting directly with young people, particularly college students. He spoke to them with respect while anchoring his statement with historical accuracy and Gospel truths. He inspired college conservatives to stand their ground, and he changed some minds by doing nothing more than inviting people to challenge for themselves the worldview that was being pushed down on them. While there are several other things that can be said about the martyrdom of Charlie Kirk, one of the most important (and perhaps saddest) is that the political left murdered Charlie Kirk, not with a single bullet, but with years of hatred, slander, and moral corruption that made his assassination inevitable. Drew Thomas Allen, a writer, political commentator, and publicist whose client list includes some of the most influential conservative voices in America (including Charlie Kirk), known nationally as "the Millennial Minister of Truth" via hosting The Drew Allen Show, and author of America's Last Stand and his latest, For Christ and Country: The Martyrdom of Charlie Kirk, joins me to discuss how Kirk's death was not an isolated act of violence but the culmination of a toxic political movement has gone mainstream. Becky Noble, journalist at Red State and her own Substack, Gumshoe Politics, joins
