Tensions between India and Pakistan are on the increase again as shots are fired across the Line of Control, their effective border running through the Kashmir region they both claim as their own in whole. The countries used the UN General Assembly in September 2016 to trade verbal attacks, in the wake of an attack on a military camp on the Indian side of the LoC.
