This is the story of the time a ghost was murdered, shot dead in Hammersmith.But back in December of 1803 villagers of Hammersmith began being terrorized by a ghost covered in a white shroud. The ghost would appear out of the darkness and confront unsuspecting travellers. It's said that the ghost would appear in the early hours of the morning, after the 1 o’clock church bell would ring out. The apparition would often be seen in the fields adjacent to Blacklion Lane.
