DONALD TRUMP is nothing if not divisive. His supporters love him, while his critics find themselves at a loss for words at what has been a whirlwind of activity from the White House over the last three weeks. This week, opposition was mainly directed at three policies: The creation of a White House Faith Office, headed by Paula White-Cain (herself a lightning rod for controversy); suspension of the activities of USAID, with most of its employees placed on leave and its programs rolled into the State Department; and President Trump’s proposal for the reconstruction of Gaza, which has been characterized by some as ethnic cleansing. We discuss all three and the surprising (to us) resistance from conservative Christians, some of whom see these moves as evidence that Donald Trump is the Antichrist. (Spoiler: He’s not.)
