Dr. Stout is our guest for this episode of Mountain Land Pelvic Health Podcast. Dr. Lisa Stout is a board certified urologist and the first female urologist in the state of Utah. She went to medical school at George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington DC, had her internship and residency at Kaiser Hospital Foundation in Los Angeles, CA. She has a general urology practice where she treats both men and woman but has focused recently on female bladder, incontinence and prolapse issues. During this podcast we discuss interstitial cystitis from both a urology and pelvic floor physical therapy standpoint. We talk about common complaints, symptoms, treatment approaches including medications, instillations, tibial nerve stimulation, interstim placements and pelvic floor retraining.
