Symptoms of Leukemia in Spanish – A Story from Guatemala

9:43 Mar 24, 2026
About this episode
Learn medical Spanish through a real leukemia story: symptoms, misdiagnosis, and early warning signs from a Guatemalan family’s experience. Today we’re starting a brand new series — one of the most meaningful things I’ve made for this podcast. On my last trip to Guatemala, I sat down with Luis González, on of the directors of the Cultural Spanish School in San Pedro La Laguna, who shared the story of his late wife Ingrid, diagnosed with leukemia in 2018. Over this series, we’ll follow her story from the very first symptoms through diagnosis, treatment, and her passing — learning the Spanish to talk about all of it along the way. 🔑 Want access to the full lesson? ¡Hazte miembro!(Learn the difference between a docmolly.com membership and an Apple Podcasts subscription.)  🎓 Already a Member? Access this lesson The First Signs, within the Leukemia – Ingrid’s Story module of our Spanish for Cancer Care course. 👉 Check out our other free lessons covering interviews from Latin America.  🙏 Gracias a Luis González por compartir su historia.
