It follows a fictionalized version of Prince and the Revolution as they fight to maintain their billing at the Minneapolis staple, First Avenue. Meanwhile, Morris Day and his band The Time try to get them replaced by a band named Apollonia 6, which is fronted by Prince's girlfriend!
