At an old four-star hotel on Orchard Road, Singapore, there is a long-standing taboo: “Never clean Room XXX at night.” The room is often assigned to solo business travelers, but guests frequently complain about hearing heavy footsteps “from upstairs” — even though the room is on the top floor. During filming in a remote, unlit location in Malaysia, the production team’s prop car mysteriously had both tires burst at the same time, causing delays. The restroom had two stalls — the right side gave off an unsettling vibe, while in the left stall, the motion-sensor light failed as soon as someone closed the door. In another scene, while an actor was performing a death sequence, someone heard repeated knocking on the door of an abandoned office space, followed by the sight of a shadowy figure gliding past. Another shoot took place at an abandoned site near the Woodlands Checkpoint in northern Singapore — a location with a dark history as a Japanese execution ground during wartime.
