The Minnesota Wild snapped a 2 game losing streak by beating the Tampa Bay Lightning 5-1 at Grand Casino Arena Tuesday night. The Wild improved to 36-16-10, and took an early 2-0 lead on goals for Brock Faber and Mats Zuccarello. After the Lightning cut the score to 2-1, Yakov Trenin scored on a miscue by Andrei Vasilevskiy to make it 3-1. The Wild added 2 more goals in the 3rd, on an outrageous goal by Quinn Hughes and Kirill Kaprizov added an empty net goal to seal the win. The goal for Kaprizov was his 220th of his career, which moved him past Marian Gaborik for sole possession of the all time lead in Minnesota Wild history. Filip Gustavsson stopped 24 of 25 shots for the Wild, who went 1/5 on the Power Play, but held the potent Lightning Power Play of the board in 3 attempts. The Wild are at Vegas on Friday for their next game.
