The New Orleans Saints added another running back to the backfield in former Minnesota Vikings back Ty Chandler. Despite the investment along with Travis Etienne Jr. earlier in free agency, the future of Alvin Kamara is likely directly unchanged. Kamara's next steps will be dictated by he and the team and are not expected to be preempted by a vet minimum signing.
Instead, the focus on Chandler should be the explosiveness and speed he brings to a running back room desperate for both traits.
