The clock is ticking for the Orlando Magic as the season winds down and the Eastern Conference playoff race tightens in the final weeks of the season.
The Magic are still waiting to be whole again as Franz Wagner continues to work his way back from a high left ankle sprain. But time is running out with just four weeks and 14 games remaining. Wagner is not yet playing live. These games will go quickly.
The Magic need Wagner to return to make their Playoff push and have a chance to get out of the first round. The team is still patiently waiting for him to get clearance and hoping he can beat the clock and return this season.
The East standings are only getting tighter. The Atlanta Hawks' 11-game win streak have brought them one loss behind the Magic and back in the race to fifth and sixth.
Every game the rest of the way will be important. But the Magic still controls their own destiny with games remaining against the Toronto Raptors and Atlanta Hawks and a tough, but fair schedule. One that gives them an advantage over the Hawks if they can get back on track.
With the NCAA Tournament beginning, it is time to think about who the Magic might be targeting in the NBA Draft and what they should be looking to accomplish this offseason.
