Letters from an American Optimist

All people are equal and all of us have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
How hard is that? Pretty danged hard, as it turns out. It's not clear America is up to the task, but I think we are.
I'll be sending my letters out, hoping to help America live up to its promise.
