About this episode
Dr Stephanie Kossow: Sexual Health and Sexuality in Illness (English – with Laura Reynolds)
In this Klinisch Relevant podcast episode in English, host Laura Reynolds discusses with Dr Stephanie Kossow topics such as sexual health and sexuality: the right of every person and the responsibility of healthcare professionals to be able to ask about and discuss this aspect of health and illness; how (all!) doctors can better inform themselves and gain confidence discussing this; and the importance of communication.
Dr Stephanie Kossow is a specialist in general practice with additional qualifications in medical psychodynamic psychotherapy and sexual medicine. She has a private practice for sexual, psychological and couples therapy in Berlin and is the author of the book (German language): Das Gute an (schl)echtem Sex - wie Bindung, Kink und Konsens uns den Arsch retten können (roughly translates to: The Good Thing About Bad Sex: How Attachment, Kink and Consent Can Save Our Arses). It discusses the most common sexual dysfunctions, special sexual preferences and where to find good sex therapy. Her perspective is feminist and inclusive.
