About this episode
Happy Monday! I took a couple of weeks off, as we had many things going on, but I am back with a new episode. I hope you had a blessed couple of weeks. Today's podcast features Isaiah 1:11-20. Not much has changed in the heart of man since God gave this word to Israel through the prophet Isaiah. Man still chooses to live wickedly and trust in the work of their own hands for salvation. The Israelites were participating in all the sacrifices, feasts, traditions, etc. with no regard for what those things represented. They did not follow the law of God, but stuck with tradition as a means of salvation instead of Who the traditions were meant to point to. Their faith was in their own vain works instead of the salvation God offered. That was evident in their refusal to live a life of repentance. Let us not be as ancient Israel, but let us be as the remnant of Israel who still lived by the Word of God and revere Him as the Holy God He is. Let us cease to do evil and instead reconcile ourselves to Christ and His finished work at Calvary, and let us walk daily in repentance and let the Word of God live in us.
