He serves as director of Preventive Cardiology and Cardiac Rehabilitation at Corewell Health,William Beaumont University Hospital, Royal Oak,Michigan. He holds faculty appointments as professor ofPhysiology at Wayne State University School of Medicineand professor of Internal Medicine, Oakland UniversityWilliam Beaumont School of Medicine. Combining his interests in exercise physiology with cardiology, Franklin and his associates have studied the physiologic and clinicalresponses to numerous occupational and leisure-timeactivities in people with and without heart disease.
