About this episode
I'M NOT EMPLOYED, HOW DO I PREPARE? To become worthy of your income you want to learn, there are a few things you need to do first, the first is to become educated, both in the classroom and out in the real world. These could include: Inside the Classroom College/University – The most prominently taken road to larger riches is to get educated in a university or college. Getting a degree in a field you want to work, in and then taking a higher paid position. Trade Schools – If college is not right for you, where can you turn for training, because secondary schools do not traditionally prepare you for work. If you a job in mind, there are schools specific to certain trades. Military – If you want to serve your country first, the military will give you the training and experience you could ever use and then they will help pay for your schooling while you are in the service of your country. Outside of Schooling Internships – While attending school you can work for a company you may want to join after graduation. This will give you experience and let you decide if you want to do that line of work. Part-Time Work – Every type of work experience that you can gather will give you meaningful work experience. A part time job will give you general work experience and will show you are a hard worker. Volunteer Service – To some employers and college recruiters, this is essential to have on your resume. Since volunteer work is normally for free, it shows that you are a hard worker and serve from your heart. Non-profit Organizations/Churches – If you want to gain connections and general education, a non-profit organization (NGO) is usually connected or a great conduit to wealthy and influential people. These people are more willing to talk to you because the organization is there to serve others and most want to as well. City, Town, State Meetings – If you want government work or to be seen and known by a large amount of people in your community, it isn’t social media, but attending government meetings in your local area. Hard Knocks - Just go do it, start a business and be okay with failing a few times. I have been working since I was 6 years old when I delivered newspapers, other odd jobs and running multiple businesses.
