Recently, two former students from different Forge cohorts met at an Agile conference. They shared a moment, snapped a picture, and reminded me of something vital: that moment never would have existed without what I’d created through the Badass Agile podcast and the Forge program. Like painters, musicians, and sculptors, we shape experiences that leave a unique imprint on the world. Whether you’re crafting a document, facilitating a meeting, or coaching a team, you’re creating something uniquely yours. That creation, however subtle, sends ripples through the lives it touches.
In uncertain economic times, standing out means recognizing your distinct creator ability. What sets you apart isn’t your adherence to agile principles alone, but your courage to innovate, experiment, and offer something of true personal value. Your unique contribution—something no one else can replicate exactly—is your ultimate competitive advantage.
Fulfillment and joy in work don’t come from simply collecting a paycheck. They arise when we see ourselves as creators, deliberately shaping our impact. The most rewarding moments aren’t planned; they’re the unexpected confirmations of the difference we’ve made.
So ask yourself today: What ripples am I creating? What unique experience, idea, or innovation will I offer the world? Remember, you’re not just here to do a job—you’re here to create a meaningful legacy.
