About this episode
This is Ken Ham, founder of Answers in Genesis, Ark Encounter, and the Creation Museum. Engineers are constantly borrowing from God’s design for solutions to our problems. For example, over time cracks form in steel, weakening it. A few years ago, engineers developed an experimental steel design inspired by the bones in your body. This new steel has a complex inner structure of small fibers that join into larger cylinders. This design allows the steel to handle stress with less cracking. This “biomimicry” borrows from God’s design. Since God is the greatest designer, it makes sense to look to his creation for inspiration, and for yet another reason for us to join with creation and glorify God.
