About this episode
This is Ken Ham, head of the ministry that built a full-size Ark near Cincinnati, Ohio. Have you ever heard the claim that Adam was just a mythological figure or tribal leader? But a historical Adam, as described in Genesis, is foundational to the gospel. Because there was a first Adam who literally sinned and brought physical death into creation, we need the Last Adam, Jesus Christ. Think about it. If Adam wasn’t a historical person, then death isn’t the punishment for sin because death has always been a part of creation in an evolutionary view. And if death isn’t the consequence for sin, why did Jesus have to come and die a physical death? For Christians there can be no doubt Adam was a historical person.
